What is Call Me in China?

Our service makes it cheap and easy for people outside of China to reach you directly on your mobile phone in China or Hong Kong. When you sign up, you choose a new number in your home country (a new number that will be used exclusively by you). You then give that number to your friends, family, customers, or anyone who may want to call you. Calling this number will connect directly to your mobile phone. You pay us a low per-minute rate (see below for rates), and the person calling just pays their phone operator the usual fee for a local call --- often free.

If you're traveling between Hong Kong and mainland, you can even switch your number to forward to whichever number you happen to be using at the moment. When you're in Hong Kong, you can set your CallMeInChina number to ring you in Hong Kong. When you're in mainland, update the number to ring your mobile there. You can update your number at any time.

Which countries do you support?

How much does it cost?

• You pay a low fixed monthly fee for each CallMeInChina number from your pre-paid balance. The price depends on the country (for example 3.99 for the US). Please see our order form for details.
• You pay a low per-minute fee from your pre-paid balance. Scroll to the bottom to see our current rates.
• There's a standard $0.03 connection charge per call.

What if I don't like it?

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on the cost of your number and any unused calling credit. If our service is not for you, just contact us by email or by using the support form on the login page. No hassles. We appreciate you giving us a try. We will not be able to refund any used calling credits.

What about when I'm not in China?

When you're back in your home country, you can assign your virtual number to a local number so that contacts can continue to use your virtual number to contact you. Or, if you'll be away from China for a while, you can suspend your number for a low monthly rate until you're ready to use it again.

Do I need to download any software?

No. CallMeInChina works directly with your existing phones, no software involved.

Can I pick my number?

Yes, you can. Call Me in China has a large inventory of numbers around the world to choose from.

Can I use my exising number?

Yes, you can. This is called "porting" your number. We charge a one-time fee of $12 after which your number is priced at the standard rate. Porting can take up to two weeks. This is sometimes a popular option for customers with existing Vonage numbers that no longer work in China.

Do people need to dial any special codes or numbers to reach me?

No. Your CallMeInChina number is a regular phone number in your home country. To reach you, callers just dial your CallMeInChina number and they'll directly get through to your phone in China.

Do you support outgoing calls?

We do! Just use our app for Android phones and the iPhone which opens up this feature to you! If you can't access the Google Play Store in China, you can download the app directly here. The iPhone app is on its way. We encourage you to learn more about our mobile apps on our blog post.

How do I use the callback feature?

It's a little strange at first, but it's easy. Just click the "Make a Call" button and type in the number you want to call (don't forget the country code! No "0"s are needed). If you have multiple CallMeInChina numbers, it doesn't matter which screen you're on when you click "Make a Call. Your CallMeInChina number isn't used for this feature. When you place a callback, our software will call you first, then connect you with your party.

We are a US company based in Washington state, though we operate phone numbers in several different countries and focus specifically on placing calls to phones in China and Hong Kong. Our founders are former Microsoft engineers and managers. Learn more about us.

Our phone numbers start at $3.99 per month and vary by country and location.

Here are our per minute calling charges, variable by location of your destination number. The Forward Rate is the rate used when someone calls you using your Call Me in China number. The Callback Rate is the rate used when you call back to a location using the Callback feature in the mobile apps.
